Day trip to Kanchanaburi and Tiger Temple, daily departing from Bangkok . This tour combines history and nature, we will visit the famous Temple of the Tigers, managed by Buddhist monks, but also pieces of history such as the bridge on the River Kwai and cemetery of the second world war. A glimpse on a reality different from the usual purely tourist trip.
Full day excursion in the province of Kanchanaburi and Tiger Temple
8.00am Meeting with the guide at your hotel in Bangkok, heading West towards Kanchanaburi province, famous for the River Kwai and its famous bridge.
In Kanchanaburi visit Allied War Cemetery and the JEATH Museum where you can observe evidence of the living conditions of prisoners of war during World War II.
A short motor launch will take us up to the famous bridge on the River Kwai, which can be visited in complete freedom. Lunch in local restaurant on the river.
The motor launch for the trip on the river kwai is not included in the tour, to be paid on the spot, there are several alternative route so we give the possibility to people who travel with us to choose the route and the boat that best meets your needs.
After lunch continue to the Temple of the Tigers. Buddhist monks here have collected over the years of siamese Tiger Cubs, orphans or seized to poachers. Today these Tigers live in a State of semi-freedom in the temple, assisted by a group of vets and voluntary workers. We will have the chance to walk alongside Tigers and let us take pictures with them. It is necessary to follow strictly the instructions given by the attendants, to approach these big cats.
