Trekking through the lush tropical jungle in Chiang Rai Northern Thailand

DAY 1 Chiang Rai: Temple Views & Tribal Immersion

8:30 AM: Meeting with your professional guide at the hotel. Our adventure begins with a visit to the magnificent Wat Huay Pla Kang. We will take the temple shuttle to reach the colossal statue of Guan Yin. Using the elevator, we will ascend to the “Third Eye” on the head of the statue, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view over all of Chiang Rai.

Afterwards, we head to the Chiang Rai pier for a 45-minute scenic boat ride along the Mae Kok River, arriving at the village of Baan Ruammit. Here, we will enjoy a traditional lunch (Grilled Chicken) included in the tour.

🐘 Ethical Elephant Experience: We have replaced traditional riding with a more respectful 30-minute elephant bathing experience. You will help wash and interact with these giants in the water—a far more intimate and memorable connection.

After the elephant encounter, our 2-hour jungle trek begins. We will walk through lush trails to reach a remote Lahu ethnic village. Late afternoon is dedicated to visiting the village and relaxing.

Dinner: A spectacular BBQ Pork roast, cooked with authentic tribal spices. Overnight stay in a traditional Tribe Home Stay.

DAY 2 Jungle Trails, Tea Terraces & Hidden Waterfalls

8:00 AM: Wake up to the sounds of the jungle. Enjoy a traditional breakfast with fresh tropical fruit and local coffee before hitting the trail.

Our journey continues with a 2-hour morning trek through dense vegetation and bamboo groves. This path leads us back toward Baan Ruammit. After the walk, we’ll take a well-deserved break at the village to cool off and soak in the atmosphere.

Next, we travel by car toward the Huay Kaew area. Along the way, we stop at a local restaurant to enjoy an authentic Northern Thai lunch (included).

🍵 Tea Plantations & Panoramic Views

The landscape changes as we climb higher into a valley dominated by emerald-green tea terraces. We will make a stop to admire the incredible geometry of the plantations and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

After a short drive, we reach the entrance to the Huay Kaew Waterfalls. A 30-minute trek through the woods brings us to the falls. The water is refreshing and perfect for a swim.

♨️ Hot Springs Discovery: Near the foot of the mountains, you’ll have the chance to discover the local natural hot springs. It’s a unique contrast to the cool waterfall—nature’s own spa in the middle of the wild.

As the sun begins to set, we head to our second Tribe Home Stay (Akha Village). Here, you will spend another night immersed in tribal culture.

8:00 AM: Enjoy your final tribal breakfast. After farewells, our private minivan takes us back toward the city.

📸 Singha Park & Tea Landscapes

We stop at the famous Singha Park tea plantations for panoramic photos. Next, we head to the world-famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun).

⚠️ IMPORTANT – Dress Code: To enter the White Temple, visitors must wear clean clothes. Please have a fresh change of clothes and clean shoes ready for this visit.

Lunch & Local Market: After the temple, lunch is served nearby. We conclude with a visit to a traditional food market—a great chance to see exotic fruits and rare delicacies like ant eggs.
