This is not just a continuous ride: you will have the chance to stop and get off the boat to explore the stalls on foot, taste local snacks, and shop for unique handicrafts. You’ll witness the traditional way of selling fresh produce and fruits directly from small wooden boats along the bustling canals.
2. Maeklong Railway Market
A truly unique spectacle where the market is literally set up on active train tracks. Please note: the order of this visit (before or after the floating market) may vary depending on the official train schedule to ensure you witness the train passing through the heart of the market. Watch as vendors quickly retract their awnings and move their goods to let the train pass, only to set everything back in seconds!
3. Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market)
Substitute the typical tourist stops with the vibrant Bangkok Flower Market. This is the city’s largest wholesale and retail fresh flower market, a sensory explosion of colours and fragrances. You will see thousands of exotic blooms, from orchids to jasmines, and watch local artisans skilfully crafting traditional Thai flower garlands (Phuang Malai).
